About Pneuma Church

Our Purpose

To call all people to be fully devoted followers of Christ. We want to be a church where:

~ every member is passionately, whole-heartedly, recklessly pursuing full devotion to Christ ~

~ the hurting can easily connect with life-changing community ~

~ everyone can have access to teaching that transforms ~

~ authentic, selfless people – individuals whose very lives demand belief in the existence and power of God – are actively discovering, developing and deploying their gifts and resources for the Lord ~

It’s our desire for each member of the body to have a clear understanding of our passion for Christ and to be able to clearly communicate that passion to others.

Our Mission

Relate

Our mission at Pneuma is to show people how they can have a relationship with the God.

We are created to live in a relationship with God. Without that relationship there will always be a deep sense of aloneness and a lack of ultimate meaning and purpose. There is only one relationship that is completely loving and ongoing – a relationship with God. At the heart of the Christian faith is this relationship with God.

Renew

We believe that God has a great plan for your life and sincerely desire that you experience the life He has for you. For that to happen you need to see yourself the way He sees you.

Because of Christ we are made new. But for many of us we don’t experience this new life because we have not renewed our thinking. What are you thinking about? Do you know that you can choose your thoughts? That might seem like a strange thing to say, but the truth is, many people don’t realize they can choose what they think about. And it’s important for us to choose our thoughts carefully because our thoughts have a lot to do with our perspectives and attitudes. Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he” (NKJV). Or, as we like to say, where the mind goes, the man follows.

The best thing we can do is to renew our minds with the Word of God so we can think like He thinks and experience His good plan for our lives. Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (NKJV).

This is why we teach the word of God and believe His Word. He wants to do great things through you, and it doesn’t matter what your background is, what mistakes you’ve made, your level of education or what natural skills you have. All things are possible with God, and He can do anything you allow Him to do in your life.

Release

At Pneuma everyone is encouraged (released) to demonstrate the Gospel and speak to others at home, in the work place, at school and wherever they go about the good news that – “God loves them unconditionally”.

What I’m getting at, friends, is that you should simply keep on doing what you’ve done from the beginning. When I was living among you, you lived in responsive obedience. Now that I’m separated from you, keep it up. Better yet, redouble your efforts. Be energetic in your life of salvation, reverent and sensitive before God. That energy is God’s energy, an energy deep within you, God himself willing and working at what will give him the most pleasure.” Philippians 2:12-13

As we grow closer to God in relationship we discover that God uses us to do wonderful things through His power working in and through us regardlessof our natural gifts, talents, skills, knowledge or abilities.

And he said unto them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15
